Rugby is one of the best sports. Globally, the pinnacle of this sport lies in the World Cup (Rugby World Cup). 1. Forward Pass/Knock-on

The ball can’t travel forward off the hands of a player. This simply means that there is no dribbling or forward pass. There are two ways that one can advance the ball; either kicking the ball or carry it forward. Any pass should be either backward or lateral. If this rule is broken, the result is Scrum for the opposing team.

2. Rugby scrum

Perhaps, there are many frequently asked question about scrum. On every team, 8 out of the 15 players, called the forward pack, will bind together. 3 in the front, 4 in the middle, and 1 at the back. They will be pushing forward in the same formation, and the team that did not commit the foul will put the ball into the scrum. About 90 % (percent) of the time, the rugby team that puts the ball in will get the ball back.

3. Tackling

Whenever one player is tackling another player, there are three rules that a tackler must follower. The first rule is that he or she should not tackle the other player above or around his or her neck. The second rule is that the tackler should not pile drive the head of the opponent into the ground as if he or she is spiking a football. The third rule is that the tackler should tackle the opponent is his or her shoulders and hands, and not just his or her shoulders.

4. Ruck

After the opponent has tackled the player who is having the ball, then they must always release the ball. What is known as a `ruck` is formed & the rugby ball is up for grabs. The two opposing teams must contest for the ownership of the ball. The rules that govern the fight for the ownership mostly vary from one referee to another.
